Yes I've searched. My Prius battery died completely. The 12-volt one. I replaced the battery with an OEM replacement. Now it won't go into ready mode. I have power to the power button and to the park button. I have no headlights no dome lights no brake lights. If I press the power button I don't get any dash lights. I press it again I get a check engine light. I do hear the brake booster humming. I did attempt to jumpstart when it died. Maybe I blew a main fuse. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.
Actually, if the blown fuse was caused by a botched jump start, the fusible link is the more likely candidate. It is contained in the long plastic piece on the left of the fuse box.
I forgot to mention that a fully charged jump box will light up the dash at the fuse box jump terminals.
Also, I read someone with the exact same symptoms needed the 120 amp fuseable link on the positive battery cable. I just read there's one in the fuse box too. 2 fuseable links. Which one is bad.
That will do it. If you think it got burnt by an error in jump-starting, then it's probably safe to replace it and get on with your day. If you aren't sure why it burned out, you might want to do more detective work before risking burning another one.
We are rolling again. Fusible link under the hood and a couple fuses in the fuse box. It went to ready and all warning lights went off.
Check the voltage at the battery posts too, just to get that out of the way. And all the battery cable connections.
