Bumping thread - I’ve had my 2017 Prime for about 3 months and this is the only pain I have found. It is so annoying. Can this be turned off using the Carista or something similar?
After 4 months of ownership, I finally had enough of the popup that goes roughly "Lane Departure Alert does not work below 32 mpg" and always obscures my HSI at a key moment when I am trying to accelerate just the right amount. And I finally realized I could use the Back button to get rid of it. So now I do that all the time -- it's like the game where you bonk gophers that pop up.
Yes, me too, and this is worth repeating and emphasizing because, in response to the original question, this is the closest thing to an answer. My right thumb is developing a strong muscle memory for pressing the Back button on the steering wheel.
You'll soon get over watching the HSI - isn't it in the HUD anyway. I never notice the "Lane Departure Alert does not ..." any more.
I have no HUD (I guess that's only for XLE?). But anyway I am getting a little better at guessing how much to depress the gas pedal, to get it to the so-called "sweet spot" on the HSI.
