Thanks Rob, I'm pondering how to manage cords in my garage, for when I charge inside or outside the garage. The 120v outlet is close but the 240v is farther away. I might install a 240v receptacle in the ceiling but having a cord dangle is another issue.
My 240v outlet is in a similar poor location, in the back of my garage. I built a 25 foot long 10 AWG Pure Copper adapter, it terminates right at the garage door on the inside. All of the parts used are Very High quality, so the electrical loss on my Ohms meter shows virtually nothing. My Toyota OE EVSE connects at that point & simply runs under my garage door. I of course made a slight adjustment to my garage door so that it can't interfere with the Toyota OE cord. This works great for me, it can work great for you too... Rob43 PS, Toyota only makes one Prius Prime EVSE that's used worldwide for all voltages.
If I recall correctly: (*) You won't see 240V listed on your North American label, so you'll just have to take it on faith from the 'anonymous' members here that it has the same internals as supplied in countries with 220-240V; (*) Don't simply cut off the plug and replace with a 240V plug, this will lose an essential temperature sensor and brick your brick; (*) You can build an adapter yourself, but if your electrical-mechanical skills or readily available parts are not the best, one member here is very well practiced at making them for fellow members.
