Key fob not unlocking/locking door

    Hi all.

    I have a 2008 Prius. Recently the the fob has slowly stopped unlocking or locking the door. It would sometimes work then wouldn't. I replaced the battery in the fob and even the spare fob isn't working either. I can unlock the door with the manual key. That works without issue. I can't start the car unless I put the Fob in the compartment next to the steering wheel but it starts without issue.

    Does anyone have any ideas before I take it to a dealer?

    Replace the keyfob case. The buttons are worn out. Be sure to move over the transponder as well as the circuit board on Gen2 units.
