I went to the mall and was prowling the parking lot for a space (we called it the sharking lot in college) and came upon a car just leaving. I waited for them to leave and they backed out towards me. A Hummer came from the other direction and pulled right into the spot I was waiting for! Or at least he tried to pull in. He pulled in, backed out, pulled in again, backed out, all the while I could not move because each time he backed out he took up the entire aisle. After about 4 times of adjusting and trying to fit in the space, he gave up and I pulled in Just another reason I am happy to own my Prius!
Yup This parking lot at the mall is notorius for other drivers swiping spots. Everyone wants to park in this one area because it is near most of the restuarants. I wanted to park there because I was only running into one store that is right inside that entrance. THe Hummer driver wouldn't even look at me as he drove past me

My wife and I witnessed a twin-cab full-bed truck pulling out of a parking spot. I'm not sure how he got in there in the first place. We couldn't help but to notice the truck because the bed stuck half-way into the aisle. Then he had to mnuever that thing about five times to get it out and turned without banging the cars around. If that guy has a good reason for that truck on construction sites or hauling horses or whatever, that's fine. But it certainly was out of place in that parking lot. As for the Hummer, is it just me or have more and more parking lots decreased the width of the parking spots to allow a few more spots? I've seen Hummers parking in spots and almost touching both lines. There simply is no way anyone can park near them or - as you witnesed - them parking between two cars. I'm certainly not going to lose sleep over it.

I'd just quietly enjoy the scene, without doing anything to provoke the guy. Remember, if he's driving a Hummer in the first place, there's probably something out of balance in his head.
Yeh, he prob'ly felt kind of stupid anyway...no need to rub it in, in my opinion. I suspect this isn't the first -- or last -- time he'll be in such a situation.
I think it is funny when people try to do stuff like that. I once watched a guy try to park a huge f- 350 (the ones with the four wheels in the back) in a compact car spot because it was closer to the store. It took him a good five minutes to get into the spot and then he tried to open his door and could not get out. I laughed so hard I almost spilled my coffee.
 I've had similar experiences in underground parking garages, specifically for the Dallas Symphony parking garage. These folks with the HUGE SUVs trying to fit into regular sized parking spaces... pull in, back out, roll window down to stick head out the window, pull in again, back out again, finally get a passenger to get out and guide them into a parking space obviously a bit small. It's even funnier when they want to back in... Another amusement... Watch the normal-sized ladies and children have to CLIMB IN & OUT... almost need a stepladder. Remember the Cadillac advertisement? "What's so great about driving a truck?"
I've always driven trucks (we need them here for the construction buisiness) so I am always amused by people who can't drive them properly. If they know what they are doing you can back into a space with a full length bed much easier than you can pull in. I still have a habit of making wide turns in my Prius.
