New to this forum but ready to appreciate any help. After searching posts for similar problems I see that the main reason causing non-working buttons is the clockspring. In my case turning the steering wheel left or right does not alter the result: defoggers and re-circulation switch are not working. Maybe the cable that goes from the switches to the clockspring is broken? I've noticed that many ebay sellers offer clocksprings at very low prices, with the note that has no steering sensor. Should I avoid these?
Thanks. If you know, do are there 2 cables, one for the phone/voice section of buttons and one for the defoggers?
