new on board here and glad to see a lot activity here for Prius. I bought Prius 2010 (200k) km on it and A/C was working fine. I did clean EGR cooler, Pipe and Intake manifold as well and during this maintenance by mistake I clean MAP roughly with some dishwasher liquid and got check engine code P0108 then replace it with used MAP sensor from junk yard store and doesn't know which car was it belongs to but when I put it it works with mine Prius as sensor was identical in shape and size so nor more code. Then I tooks my car to car wash and after that next day I realized that my A/C is not blowing cool air except only hot air. Then I saw a note some where how to pull ups codes by press Auto+Fresh buttons and push start twice. Then all lights were blinking with code 73 which I tooks snapshot for you guys so can understand what exactly wrong with it or code means. Note, I can feel that AC compressor is not starting. I would appreciate an early response in regards. Thanks in advance. Jan
Even better, the first place to look would be the first place Swati did look: the trouble codes for the A/C. If you're limited to wild guesses, a fuse might be a first wild guess. But in a car that gives you trouble codes, you're not limited to wild guesses. This code is chiefly about that STBI/STB circuit shown near the top of the diagram, between the compressor and the power management control ECU. The main drift of the troubleshooting process is to check it for shorts and opens with a multimeter. But there can be interactions with other systems involved, in case of other codes logged by the hybrid system (which would not show up on the A/C display, but require a code reader). So the full procedure in the manual involves several things to check. But you might just ohm-check that wire anyway. The place where that connector plugs in on top of the compressor is kind of unfortunate; some people have seen it collect water and corrode inside.
Check fuse, and check AC relays first before gets panic. AC relays in Toyota occasionally failed. I had it once in my Sienna. For fuse it is easy to check with eyes or multimeter. Get AC relays from Autozone or local stores, and if it works than you find it. If not, you can return it or keep it since it only cost few bugs.
