Several hackers have seen stuff hidden in code pointing to a possible 100kWh battery pack in the 3 and presumably Y. This would mean well over 400 miles for both vehicles. If true it would likely mean a more battery dense composition. If this is announced at Battery Day then a 400+ mile range Model Y will 100% be our next vehicle.
Link? Owner Jason - back in the Carolinas was the one who found the 100 KW message inside the Model S, & Tesla (OTA) derated his software for his efforts ... only he'd already made a back up copy of it. It's good to understand how Tesla shenanigans roll. .
