i was just mildly surprised to see a toyota commercial advertising their hybrid lineup and hybrid synergy drive. like they're having any trouble selling them i'm not one to watch much tv and most of the time it's one of 2 channels... so i don't really know if this is old news or not. but i thought i'd share.
Toyota have just started advertising their synergy drive here in Australia. No particular car is mentioned.

Youtube has this beautifully done commercial, as well as this amusing commercial from Puerto Rico. There's also an ad for Toyota's HSD with Leonardo DiCaprio, and this one I've seen in movie theaters.

I saw the hybrid commercial on TV yesterday as well during the baseball playoffs on Saturday. My guess is that they're doing some ads now that the tax credit has dropped in half.
I saw 2 different HSD commercials over the weekend. One of them caught my eye because it featured a beautiful, gleaming black Prius. Oh, and a Camry and Highlander too I guess...
I'll agree with Rancid on this, there are two commercials currently running in our market, one touting the HSD, Prius, Camray and HiHy and one with a Prius talking about being a green vehicle.

(I've previously seen one that is a woman in a classroom "teaching" a bunch of people, adults and kids, about the Hybrid Synergy Drive, but the whole ad is in Japanese except for when they say "Toyota Pree-us." <G>) I thought they only got American stars to appear in print ads for Suntory.
