I used the ELM 327 ODB ii to perform the Emission Tests on my 07 Prius and as result i get the information as below. However, there is no check engine light shown on the dashboard. Catalyst --> NOT PASSED Evaporative System --> NOT PASSED Oxygen Sensor --> NOT PASSED Can you please advise what are the problems and what is the effect on the car performance?
What OBD2 codes (DTCs) have you retrieved from the vehicle already? (example: P0420) If you're resetting the DTCs via the OBD2 scanner or the 12v battery, don't do that and expect to pass the emissions test. Does your vehicle have to pass an emissions test in your country?
Not sure what app does this test you did, but I suspect it's not a very good app... Most apps are customized for hybrid cars... Try Dr. Prius app instead... As for these emissions tests please give more details about what you're using?
After resetting codes or disconnecting the 12v battery, you have to drive at least 50 miles before the computer will show emissions systems as operative.
