I tried using boiling water to push these out however they just kept coming back after cooling down. What's the best way I can get these out? I plan on using some Bondo made for plastictics for that crack also
Hey, that looks just like the dent in MY front bumper! I need to fix mine too. I saw some youtube videos a while back where someone was doing some pretty major repairs on plastic body parts and they turned out nice. Let us know how you did yours when you get it to work to your satisfaction
I've used a hot air gun to do some plastic bumper dent repair. Usually remove the bumper from the car first to allow access to the back. I've never been good enough at it to have a perfect finished product, but they've turned out decent. It's amazing how soft those bumpers can get.
I got a big ol' kink in the plastic rocker panel piece once, and I was planning to go out with a heat gun to try to unkink it, but the sun solved the problem before I got around to it.
You have a 12 year old car. Some "dings" are expected. The only good way to fix that is to replace the bumper cover. If it really is that important to you, get an estimate or two from independent body shops. Or scout a new part from a salvage yard. I think the odds of any "do it yourself" fix turning out good are extremely LOW.
Remove the bumper (cover). Plastic welding the crack and heating bending the rest. Then slightly fill it. Then sanding and paint.
