2008 Brake and ABS light on and off

    2008 prius ABS and brake light come on and off. When off Brake function is normal, when on Brake performance poor as if no power assist.

    also if I pump the brake a couple of times the lights go off and brakes are normal again

    probably the brake actuator. specific codes and sub codes will help nail it down.

    is the fluid level correct?

    Fluid level OK I will try to get codes. May go a several mile normal then come on. Stays on maybe 30 second then goes off again

    make sure the battery connections are clean and tight, especially neg to body
