Hi All. I am looking to replace my heater core in my 2012 Prius v because it has become clogged. I have scoured online to find a comprehensive service manual that is specific for the heater core, but I have not found anything. Any help or information would be appreciated!
Pretty sure it requires removing the dashboard and lots of subassemblies. The best resource is Toyota's Tech Information System. You can get access for two days for $20 and then download files. You will notice links to other sub-procedures which you will need as well. Unfortunately, its not one big file but lots of smaller steps. https://techinfo.toyota.com/techInfoPortal/appmanager/t3/ti?_pageLabel=ti_whats_tis&_nfpb=true
Have you flushed it out with a garden hose both ways? Have you put stop leak in it? Very rare for one to be plugged...
Thanks for the responses! That is going to be my next step. The person who I bought it from put stop leak in the coolant system to seal a leaky head gasket, but it instead clogged my heater core and radiator. I already replaced the radiator and the head gasket.
