I've attached a pic and circled the 5 lights in yellow. Can someone please inform me what these lights are called? When should they be turning on? Is it normal for them not to be lighting up? I've tried different ways to get them to light and can't figure it out. I have a 2013 Prius 3.
LOL - Okay, makes sense. As embarrassed as I feel right now, thank you for letting me know because I truly wasted a lot of time trying to figure it out. Last week I took my car (only 45k miles, regularly maintained) to the dealership for an oil change and software update. They took this as an opportunity to find over a thousand dollars worth of extra work, including bulb replacements. On the spot, I declined it all. But I've been going over their list. It says "Bulb (Frt Cornering Light) - Replace: 1 LEFT FRONT INOP." However, on my car that light works. The only lights that weren't lighting up are the five ones I circled.
There are two parking lights on the Gen 3 - the forward facing one above your circled area and another one where the amber reflector is.
One or two prior owners went to great lengths and greater amounts of time to put actual functioning LEDs in such decorative slots, though I'm thinking that it was on a bit different headlight assembly.
