Hey guys so I just bought a 2014 prius c one with 129,000 miles on it and I haven’t even drove it 60 miles before it “stopped” working on me. I pulled out of my driveway and all of a sudden i got a row of all 4 brake lights on with a beeping sound that won’t stop & it won’t let me brake. The reason I say “stopped” is because I can still kind of brake if i’m going slow but it feels like the brake peddle is resisting. I went out and bought a new battery to see if that was the problem because I read somewhere it might be since it was coming up on it’s last year or two of its life but nope didn’t work. I have no idea what’s going on can someone help??
welcome! possibly the brake actuator, but you're going to have to read the troublecodes. tech stream is the software, and you need a compatible windows laptop. check amazon, or google tech stream and look for priuschat threads. all the best!
Similar problem with the same tests to do. While the car drives it has no communication with the computer. So I am in the same boat diagnostics wise. Hoping against hope to find a wire off instead of the actuator replacement. Cost not quite the reason, more the complexity.
