battery was changed in key fob. Will not unlock with buttons or with automatic door sensor; must use key. Once in the car we must place the key fob on power button to start, being in the car for a few minutes the dash reports that the key is not detected. Please help.
First, make sure the battery is installed right-side-up. The red LED should light when you press buttons.
My 2015 started doing that key not detected when the 12v battery was going bad. Have the 12v battery checked.
+1 Is it not true that the "engine starting" function does not depend on the battery in the FOB ? And that is a different function from what the buttons do ??
