Greetings, We just purchased a 2021 Prime and I can’t figure out how to program the door locks so they all can be opened when the drivers side door is unlocked. I’ve looked in the users manual but still can’t figure it out. Any ideas? Much thanks, in advance.
Assuming you're talking about the Smart Key System (grabbing the driver's door handle to unlock all doors). Page 271 If you're talking about the remote keyless entry option (using the fob to unlock the doors). By default, press the unlock button twice (once unlocks the driver's door, twice unlocks all). You can change the operation via the navigation screen to unlock all doors with the first press of the unlock button on the remote.
I thought the description was a little unclear so I experimented. To be clear: Just holding the drivers door handle long enough to open the door does not open the other locks. Holding the drivers door handle for a few seconds longer than needed opens all the locks. This was brand new to me since I had developed the habit of opening the door and then finding the button for the other locks on the inside of the door.
Yes, this feature is new for this generation. I assumed she wanted to unlock all with the initial grab of the handle (without waiting) and that’s the customizable option.
