2007 Prius. 215k miles. New 12v battery 2 weeks ago. New traction battery today. None of that affected the screen problem but I thought they should be noted. Screen displays normal information, including backup cam, nav, and all energy, limate, and radio displays. Unfortunately, it is almost always unresponsive to touching the "buttons" on the display. Once in a while, it will respond, for a time or two but then becomes unresponsive again. Is there anything I can try to revive it?
install a new touchscreen digitizer panel. They're available on ebay for about 30-50 bucks I believe. This is not the entire display, just the thin layer screen that covers it. It requires disassembly of the mfd, but it can be done successfully if you're careful about keeping track of the pieces and take some photos.
