All my previous cars had foot rests (aka dead pedal). Seems like a minor thing, but my Yaris didn't come with one either. Coming from Subarus, I know that they have flat foot rests that can fit any car. Got mine used off ebay ($9 shipped). Drilled 2 holes, and secured the pedal with 2 trim plugs.
Mine is not quite as sharp looking but functional. I still have about 85 percent of the floormat I cannibalized to create it in case I need to make replacements. Measured top to bottom and side to side: about 4" wide at the top, 5" wide in the middle and 6" at the bottom X 6" high. I bought a single floor mat and cut out a rectangle 6"x6' and then marked it and cut it. It is adhered with velcro tape and will keep the carpeting from being worn down by my foot. I can easily make others as needed from the $9.00 floormat.
Sorry to reply so late to this thread - does anyone have any information about the Subaru dead pedal? The pictures are all showing as broken links and I'm looking at adding a dead pedal to my 2014 Prius C!
I added a cheap aluminum dead pedal bought from AliExpress. haha. The dead pedal needs 4 screws to attach but after lifting the carpet near that area I found that it is styrofoam under the dead pedal position. So easy enough, make 4 holes in the carpet and attach the aluminum dead pedal with bolts, nuts and large washers. The remaining length of the bolts dig into the styrofoam and everything stays in place. Zero drilling into the car frame or floor.
