Display Audio crashes and restarts

Finally got it replaced this weekend. The paper work said something about finding a short. It seems to be good now, but it's only been a couple days.

 

I'm still seeing this often on my 2012 Prius v. Does anyone know of the exact cause and fix for this? PriusC-illa; did they say where the short was?

 

Did you ever find out anything more on your head units problems. I have a 2012 Prius v 5 and it has started having issue out of the blue. Freezes, cannot use the buttons to switch between functions. What seems to fix it is rebooting it. But after my phone sync is messed up and I cannot make calls. I have to remove the phone and re-add it. Seems to be a on startup in coldish weather issue. Was wondering if maybe its a low power on 12v related issue.

 

I'm still having this problem with console crashing and restarting. Does anyone have the name or part number of what the Toyota dealer replaces to fix this problem?

 

I have been having the same issue. I have found that if I reinstall the latest firmware from a thumb drive, the problem goes away for awhile. Works on my 2012 Prius C 3

 

I am having the same problem and problems with the USB connection to my phone. How much did it cost for them to replace it?

 

How do you do that? I have a 2013 Prius Hatchback 4. Same issue and my USB port keeps getting overloaded by my Iphone 8, so it stops charging after a day or so being connected.

 

Try software update first, before any hardware troubleshooting.

 

Just took it to toyota there are no software updates, they could ‘t figure out what was causing it to occasionally restart.
