Went to my dealer to renew the insurance for my prius battery. For that they run some checks on the battery and if all well they renew the insurance. This time they said they couldnt do the checks as the "computer will not let them" or something like that. They said that this is because the car was in neutral gear position or the fuel level went too low. They said that i need to drive 1600 km (not less) and come again to check the battery. Sounds very strange to me as i'm pretty sure i had no low fuel and i dont use neutral. Any suggestions?
I think tool checking the battery saw a code stored and refused to continue. So they deleted the code, but you have to drive some kms - though I was said 500 - before you can have it checked again.
You may want to disable traction control before proceeding? Or does that matter? Posted via the PriusChat mobile app.
