Heya, I’ve searched around and failed to find stuff. I rarely drive in the snow because I work from home. But the other week I got caught in a sudden storm. It was really icy and all that. at one point my abs, skid light and brake light all came on. Is this normal for extremely icy conditions? I can see like one of the lights coming on but was worried that they all came on. I’ve not been able to replicate the issue, I legit had my brakes checked not too long ago and overall just a little confused. I tried to check codes when I got gas but my reader didn’t display anything. Fwiw they turned off when I got gas. Also, I was in a rush to get back home so I could have potentially overlooked something.
I think it was normal due to tires losing traction at times. If the lights don't come back on I wouldn't worry about it.
Eh. I’m around 45% probably will need tires by summer since I don’t drive a ton. Need a rotation and probably an alignment because it has been a minute. Update lights came back on during a trip. So I just took it to a dealer. Man. They charge so much just to look. Womp
Normally, for low and medium mileage drivers, if they are good enough for snow now, then they'll be good enough for all summer too.
