Can someone help..... sitting at the lights the other day the fuel gauge had lost 3 of its 10 light bars suggesting the tank was a third down. The fuel figure at the left end of the heads-up display said I had about 640 kms to go before I needed to fill up.....as I watched, the fuel gauge counted down the light bars and left the bottom one flashing ....and the fuel figure said I had 12 kms left before I had to fill up and it flashed too ! It took just 16.5 litres to top up so still had heaps.........any ideas greatly rec'd
After I filled up the fuel lights showed full, and the heads-up display said I had 940km to travel before needing to re-fuel again......
put a volt meter on it, then run the headlights for 5 minutes for a before and after load voltage comparison. here, auto parts stores will perform a free test with an electronic load tester. might be worth calling round
