My 2010 Prius began to run rough at slow speeds and on deceleration beginning a month or so ago. Roughness got progressively worse to the point of running rough at any speed below 65 mph. I removed the intake manifold and cleaned the crud out of the EGR passages and made a 15 minute video. I'd like to share a YouTube link with the group for others experiencing similar problems.
Yeah he says “a couple of months back” he did the cooler, words to that effect. The intake is the last leg of the Exhaust Gas Recirculation circuit; until it’s cleaned the EGR cleaning is pretty much for naught.
There have been several revisions to the Gen 3 intake manifold, I replaced mine with the current version when I did EGR cooler on my 2010 at 156K. Will follow your procedure next time, excellent video!
