I just got a 2021 Prius Prime XLE and don't see cruising range (miles/distance to empty) anywhere. I have a Honda Clarity PHEV and it tells me how many miles I have for HV (gas) and EV. Here I only see percentage left. Even my 2012 Prius C and Sienna show me how many miles of gas I have. Surely I'm just missing something here.
Press the TRIP button on the steering wheel until DTE is displayed (it cycles from Odo, Trip A, Trip B, Since Start, DTE, blank) As for EV range, it can be displayed on the right side MID. It should be displayed by default (As the other option is % battery remaining). It will be shown in the Hybrid System Indicator menu screen.
It's one of the "trip" odometers. Just use the "trip" button on the left side of the steering wheel to cycle through ODO, Trip A,B, EV distance remaining, Distance to empty. They are labeled graphically except the first three.
@schja01 nailed it. Although the @Tideland method will also display the EV distance in the place of battery SoC %, the remaining EV range also can be displayed at the lower-left bottom at the same place as DTE.
In the interest of thoroughness, there's another way to see EV range and to see it with climate control on or off. If you have the HSI showing on the MID as in @Tideland Prius' second picture, hit the down arrow on your right side steering wheel controller three times and you come to "Drive Monitor 2." It shows your miles/kWh for the trip meter you have selected as well as remaining EV range without AC and with AC.
I have been driving my 2021 PP XLE for about 11 months and relied on the ODO setting for remaining miles. Thanks for pointing out it can be shown on the MDI as it was only showing Power all this time. I keep learning from the Prius Chat Website.
