Has anyone had this problem? It's driving me insane. I have a Bluetooth 'disc', the BTC450. I've had it for years. When I connect any ground loop noise isolator the bluetooth kit won't even power on. I had this issue when I originally set it up but that was 7 years ago. Recently someone broke in and stole everything except the bluetooth, which still works, but which has noise via the AUX connection. I don't remember the solution but recall I read the solution here (but can no longer find it). Thanks!
Perhaps it's designed to not turn on if it doesn't detect a signal. In that case, maybe the noise isolator is dampening the signal too much? You're sure the noise isolator works fine in other applications?
I just looked at the item. I suspect the USB is only for power. If you don't have a USB port nearby, you'd have to figure out some kind of extension. You could possibly MacGyver your own power supply by splicing into nearby wiring. If you're going to do that, there are cheaper options out there.
Seems there may be some confusion on what this simple device does. The device I cited is a simple Bluetooth receiver that has two connections. The first is a USB for Power, the second is an audio cable. It works in Gen 2 Prius’s by locating it in the center console right next to the cigarette lighter power socket and the AUX in audio port, You also need, if you don’t already have one, a simple cheap $5 USB cigarette lighter plug adapter that provides 5v to the USB. This device is tiny and works flawlessly by cooperating and working independently of the cellphone Bluetooth system in the Prius. It has a very very high quality audio using an LDAC and ground loop noise elimination circuit. It automatically pairs with your phone and in fact also another phone simultaneously upon power up of the car if you want two people to be able to share audio to the Prius. There is no other wiring required. No MacGyvering. Just connect in the console to the AUX and USB power with included short cables. The reason I brought it up here was because the OP was having ground loop audio noise problems. It is definitely NOT too complicated to use. It may however not be what the OP wants to use.
This is kind of post hijacking at this point, right? The post isn't about this very specific BT adapter.

I'm not being disrespectful of anyone. I asked a technical question and the post became about a device recommendation. THAT is disrespectful. They could just make a post saying what an awesome BT kit it is.

If anyone ends up with a similar problem, here is the kit I bought that works good for audio and phone. I tried 3 different ground loop isolators that all had the same problem. This works very well.
