I added a much needed dome light to hatch when lifted, for cheap!

    They used to be $1, now they are $2!

    One pic is interior and cargo light on, other is with added dome light.
    I stuck it on to the rear thin window glass because the double sided tape wasn't sticking well to the black plastic and the junk in the truck was knocking it off. Light runs on 3 AAA and I'd have prefered USB recharger but I was the smallest flattest light for good price. I might add some to rear doors since they lack built in lights. I've also got a backup headlamp with headstrap around passenger side shade visor for use as flashlight for front seats. You can point it but it stays out of the way.

    interesting and what year Prius? I'm in a 2020 Prime.

    Weak dome and interior lights have always been a pet peeve. I imagine some big auto exec deciding based on some idea it needs to be 'cozy' like a bar or candle lit dinner.

    I replaced the dome light with a 24 led panel with the bayonet bulb adapter as well.

    I don't care for the bright bluish led lights, so I got "warm" LED lights, which match the incandescent color spectrum more closely, just way brighter.

    Looks good! A few years ago, I got one of those LED interior bulbs replacement kits for my 2014 Tundra and like it so much I did the same in my 2021 Prius. I also wanted to do my wife's 2017 Prius but she thinks they are just too bright and doesn't want them.

    Yeah, I can also clip it to the (raised) hood, illuminates the engine bay well.

    That's on my things to do list for my Prime.
    I've already made this swap out to my GMC 4x4 a few years ago. I can now read topo maps without a flash light when inside the truck.
    Those Coast lamps are very bright. I have several of them in my camping equipment and in the glove box of my cars. I really love the hi-low functions of the flashlights.

    Hard wired 6 led strips into my trunk. Tapped into the trunk light so turns off accordingly.
