I've install a cheap dyi hood LED light so one can see in the dark. Total cost is $5 and that included the LED, switch, fuse, wire and wire loom. Here's all the parts and tools you'll need.
Did you get that LED lights off of eBay do you have any Information on the seller.? It looks really good.

I got the LED and all components from Amazon. 10 pack for $20. 1) Where did you tap the power from? In the hood, direct to battery. In trunk, tap the OEM trunk light and added an additional switch. 2) Can you provide a link to the switch used? 3) What is the orange thing at the end of the wires at the upper left of the picture, a fuse? Yes, 5 amp fuse. I connected the switch to the ground wire so I'm able to get away with using a low amp switch, not that the light is high power. The LED is under 5 watts and output 580 lumens.
