Add Automatic Light Control System?

    My daughter leaves her lights on her new car chronically. She was trained on our family Camry & Sequoia that both have lights that automatically turn off & on. She's bright. Eventually, she'll get it, but it would be nice to get parity with our family vehicles.

    I can see that the Prius C did have the option for auto lights. Does anyone know if a person could add auto lights to a 2012 Prius C? Any good guides on how to do it? Should I get my head examined?

    Some owners of Gen 3 liftbacks have added auto headlight control, and the procedure for a c might be similar to that.

    You'd be kind of on your own to check in your own model's wiring diagram (more info) for any differences in the details.

    I was wrong. The option was not available for Prius C until 2020. Given how different the 2012 model was, this is not worth pursuing.
