I'm going to do some work on my front suspension components. Noticing some knocking/rattling/creaking at various times, visual inspection shows both strut boots are torn, streets in my neighborhood are pretty bumpy so I'm not surprised. Is there general consensus around replacing the whole strut assembly (KYB) instead of replacing individual parts like just the strut bumper or bellows if that's the only problem? Have been reading here mixed reviews of the springs on the KYB assemblies, despite overall people liking them.
