    This is sad news. Ed was an old school journalist, reporting on what was really important. And he loved JAZZ!

    what is really sad is the low response in this thread! Ed was a really great guy and journalist!

    Pure talent - a man who's now up in a better place with the likes of Walter Cronkite and Peter Jennings. We grew up with Ed - he will be truly missed.
