There's a big helpful thread on loose Gen 3 bumpers. I wonder if the Gen 2 bumper is similar enough that the pre-made 'Kenstyle' reinforcement plates for use on Gen 3 will work on my (2005) Gen 2 too?
That gen2 gap is nothing compared to the gen3 gap. The gen3 cars looks like the bumper is about to fall off
I hear you, JC91006. Admittedly this feels like a cosmetic issue; it's the pressing it in every time I pass it that is making me nuts.
I actually go through that with my Gen3 car LOL. This normally happens when the bumper is a replacement bumper and is not an original Toyota part.
My bumper is original Toyota; but it's driven to the Arctic Ocean coast of Alaska on the Dalton Highway where no sane person takes a Prius.
You can try removing it and see if all the side clips/attachment points are intact. There is also the piece that the bumper sides attaches to on the car body, that part normally goes bad.
