I loved my Prius v. I was in the process of relocating to Indiana when I was slammed by, literally, a Mack Truck doing 60 mph running a red light. The paramedic said he expected to find a body. I have some pretty nasty injuries including 6 broken ribs but I'll live. My car is totaled. When they looked at the remains of the car the passenger compartment was intact and everything else was smashed to smithereens. Appears to be a box around the passenger compartment holding it in place. Yet another good thing about the v.
I'm glad that you're okay! Vehicles can be replaced. People can not. Toyota vehicles often have the top, or very high, safety ratings. Plus, unlike other manufactures that mainly design their vehicles to do good on the safety tests(cough cough GM), Toyota has been designing vehicles to protect the occupants from many different accident scenarios. In real-life, the two vehicles don't crash at exact, predefined, angles. Imho, GM vehicles are infamous for doing poorly in many real-life crash scenarios (verses their respective crash ratings). Yet, another reason why I spent my hard earned cash, on a Prius.
