My 2008 Prius with 208,000 miles is making a pretty loud Creaking Sound in the front when I release the brakes and accelerate. The car does not make the same sound when I brake. My Brakes are all good and properly lubricated. I pretty much rebuilt the entire front end at 200,000 miles. ( Control Arms, New Sruts/springs, Inner/outer tie rods, and both CV axles, and torsion arms. Anybody have suggestions? Thanks, John.
All replaced within 10,000 miles. I had that noise you are talking about before and solved that noise with all new front end. Good guess though. This is a very different louder creaking sound.
Hi John I know it's a quiet old post. But Did you find what was actually causing the problem? Did you managed to fix? iPhone ?
I just bought a used 2013 model 3 and it started making the creaking noise when I first begins to accelerate and when I brake. It’s driving me nuts! Anyone have any updates on this? Thanks!
another thought is rusty brake disks. try getting up to 30mph on a quiet road, slip her into neutral and gently apply brakes to clean the rust off.
