Just saw this review and it sure looks like those are alloys and not wheel covers. Anyone have info on these? Driving 1,700 km in the 2022 Toyota Prius Prime | Fun Stuff | AutoTrader.ca
I just found out those new cool-looking alloy wheels are only for the Canadian models of 2022 PP with optional upgrade cost, but not standard. In the US, the 2022 model PP still come with a plastic wheel cover. Could this be the 2023 PP? | PriusChat
FYI I have a 2022 Canadian model and I have Alloy wheel with plastic hubcaps.. Offered are optionnal full alloy for $1000. extra. The picture showing the special hubcaps are delivered for the Prime upgrade with technology package 2022 and no turn signals on the mirrors as i read somewhere else on the chat. Maybe 2023 , i don't know
Thanks. I updated my previous comment to include the information. Yeah, for $1000 extra, I am now not so sure if it is worth it. Still looks better than the 10-spoke optional alloy wheel available for PPs in the US. Toyota Prius Prime 15 10-spoke alloy wheels - PT94547160 - Genuine Toyota Accessory
Not a fan of chrome rims, and there have been peeling problems. Still think the rims on the first gen plug-in were the best Toyota’s achieved in official (15") Prius rims. Not a very high bar though. Addendum, part number for 2012~2015 Prius Plug-In rims: 42611-47360
No extra charge for my alloys, and I didn’t request them. But yes I am in Canada and the Technology is the top trim level.
