In the YouTube videos, and elsewhere, I've noticed two left-right symmetrical, semi-trapezoidal … holes, or "objects" anyway ... in the acrylic front grill right below the Toyota logo. Each maybe might have some sort of latch handle on the outboard edges (not sure). What are those? iPhone ? Pro
Seems like you wouldn't need two big "gouges" in the plastic for that purpose. Seems like smaller holes could work for that. iPhone ? Pro
There's a lot of superfluous busyness in the front end. Two many over-payed designers, beavering away, trying to justify their salaries. It's basically the opposite of a bumper. Sorry, purely grumbling.
So, yes, those are the two … "holes," or whatever... I was asking about. Mountings for the license-plate bracket seems a very plausible explanation. Seems like they could have made them smaller though... iPhone ? Pro
Although all other aspects of the P.Prime's styling I prefer over the regular Prius Liftback, the big black thing in the front is a total "what the...?!", in my view. I wouldn't want to see chrome, but paint-color sections in roughly the same setup as the Liftback would have looked better to me. iPhone ? Pro
Toyota has plates to fill the cut-out section in the front bumper. They are about $24.00 each (2021 Prius Prime) and require painting the color of the car's bumper. Less expensive to put a license plate bracket and plate on the car - a blank black license plate or some sort of vanity plate.
