Hello, i have 2005 Prius. The first pump that was on it went bad, i was getting P0A93 code so I bought an aftermarket one, changed it, bled it and all. It was good for about 3 months and then it died. I thought since it was a cheap aftermarket one maybe it just didn't hold that well. When the pump went bad the car stalled a little and when I put it in park and turn it off I couldn't restart the car. The AM fuse was blown. Removed the pin tu the pump, changed the fuse and drove home like 4 km. I bought more expensive one and after 3 days of driving, it died.... The same am fuse, the pump shorted. Anyone has any idea?

Have you tried using a Toyota pump from a reputable source? (Either brick and mortar Toyota dealer or online Toyota dealer- possibly Rock auto?) Aftermarket pumps have had reliability issues, and some online sources can have counterfeit parts. I use dealer parts for things like this and have had zero problems.

Any chance that the wiring to the pump has a spot that's rubbed through the insulation somewhere?

    Welcome to PriusChat!!
Did you purchase an OEM replacement pump from a local dealership? (it should come with a 1 year warranty for OTC sales)

    FYI : you're moderated until you've posted 5 times.

The wiring seems fine, as for the parts the OEM part is like 200 EUR and they won't sell it if you are not changing in theyr service

It sounds like you might've bought another low quality part, or a 'knock off' that looks like the real thing, including hologram security stickers.

There are numerous online retailers that sell OEM pumps, some may last for a longer period. All pumps are known to fail with enough time.

Maybe someone can recommend a site for OEM parts that deals or at least sends to Europe?
