Would like to see some of that phone content; hopefully that happens, and the air gets let out of that virulent windbag.
When will the fools that listen and buy into his diatribes of lies and falsehoods get their reality check? Probably never.
Yep. Never. I honestly think he'll end up making money out of this. He'll claim that The Man is persecuting him, and that the judge was part of The Great Conspiracy To Silence Him, and that he needs money from his followers to pay the money he has to pay, and they'll end up giving him more than he actually needs.
The $4 million judgement against, same time as Jones' more comprehensive bankruptcy reach, makes this seem complicated. InfoWars continues financial harvest and maybe better with "woe is me" and "doing this all for YOU" by Jones. I wonder how new cash arriving accounts into bankruptcy. A crisis came in court when Jone's lawyers seemed to underperform in the text-message-hiding area. If staff also underperforms in offshore banking, this might go poorly for Big Al.
Yes, precisely. It's a really easy win for him. And the leak was done by the Deep State or whatever, so you need to send him money to help him fight for you against the Deep State. I think this is what Delaware is for. And that's before you even get into places like the BVI and Liberia. He'll have absolutely no problem. If he's bankrupt, he'll never see the cash - he'll live rent-free in a house owned by a company with a PO Box in Road Town. (I've seen a lot of them....) He'll drive a car owned by a "friend", or by another BVI corporation. He'll have a credit card registered to another offshore company. And so on. People like this never get poor when they go bankrupt. I wonder if the lawyer did underperform... Given how much of a d--- Jones clearly is, I'm willing to bet that he's been very rude to some of his lawyers, especially the juniors. It would be tempting to accidentally let these things accidentally slip, especially if you could find a way to make your own involvement reasonably deniable. I know it would be highly illegal and would risk disbarment. But it would be tempting nonetheless.
Yes it has been reported that Jones' lawyers may have got a belly full and under protected their client's interest. He is just so weird (every mass shooting was staged by crisis actors), that normal procedures ... Heck we will need to be very cautious and understated to keep the out of FHoPol. I may have blown it already. Does it matter? Can the InforWars armored HummVee in Austin go into and out of receivership, and repainted pink and HelloKittied? Perhaps I wish for odd things.
I mean, I haven't seen that reporting yet, but just trying to read between the lines of the earlier stories, it seemed like I was getting stuck somewhere like this: You're a law firm. You have a bunch of documents that you know your client means to deny the existence of under oath. An oops happens, and they've been sent to the other side's lawyers. You don't inform your client. Maybe you didn't notice. The other side's lawyers ask you "hey, we got these documents from you, are there any you meant to assert privilege over?" You don't assert any, and you still don't inform your client. Did I get that about right? The early reports were a little vague on some of it.
I've never listened to a single minute of his show, so I only know what the punditry have to say about him. It seems that he is on the hook for about 4 mil....which he WILL probably have to pay. The lawsuit itself was into something like nine figures, and if one is to judge by the number of stories, his lawyers probably cost him more than that - so I don't think this dude, whoever he is (I had Google him to find out what all of the fuss was about) will be eating Ramen and driving a ragged out pickup to his next job. One wonders if at the end of this year he will be worth MORE or LESS.....
The 4 mil is actual damages, decided yesterday. Jury still deliberating on punitive damages, I think.
Oh, well in that case he MAY be eating Ramen...or at least forking over 10-percent of his paychecks for the rest of his life. I was blissfully unaware of who this guy was before he became Public Enemy #3 (behind Big Orange and DeSantis....)
He doesn't rank that much in the rogues gallery. Rush Limbaugh re-runs probably rank higher. But them my ranking choice is driven by their distance from facts and data. Bob Wilson
I'm not sure it's the distance and not the disregard that matters more. People's different distances from the truth can normally be sorted out, but if one's whole shtick is "why, gosh, I don't know, people are saying it, I'm just asking questions", that just saws through the joists.
$45 million punitive Alex Jones Fined $45.2 Million for Lying About Sandy Hook I had thought there were much lower caps on this in TX courts, so some discounting may happen.
I just watched this on MSNBC which talks about the cap in TX. Jury delivers harsh message to Alex Jones; Focus turns to sorting out finances, payment
