Hey everyone! My wife and I have a 2007 prius and we're having major issues with it. We've gotten the red triangle of death. Sometimes it will drive, but will often completely shut off in the middle of the road. Sometimes it will go into ready mode, other times it won't. The check engine light doesn't go on, so I got techstream and got codes P0A0F, P0AA6, P0304, C1259, and C1310. I surmise this is due to the engine misfire code P0304. I attached the techstream codes. Could someone provide assistance? I'm a novice and any help would be appreciated.
More than likely you're 20 plus year old hybrid battery is failing or starting to or a cell is bad or something along those lines your choices are to read the above link and play around with battery cells. Or cough up the 14 1500 bucks and buy a new battery for approximately another 17 years of use or you can spend a month playing with cells and a hobby charger. Those are pretty much your options and they're usually dictated by money and free time that one has Good luck
Really? It's that hard to diagnosis and repair the hybrid cells? When I dealt with misfired codes I've changed the ignition coils, spark plugs, and as a last resort fuel injectors. Takes 1-2 hours tops.
No but a lot of people that start to go down that road are constantly playing with the cells for I don't know a week or so some people have to go to work in between time and work in the afternoon and work on it some more on a Saturday because you know of other obligations families houses can't put their cars out and work on them whatever the case may be.
