Im going to sell my 2008 Prius while I still live in Florida. Im moving to CO and I just don't think that it will do well in the cold since I've had enough problems in the warm weather. My problem is that it shows 176,000 miles on it, but it really only has 130k(ish). The combination meter went out and the dealer that I bought it from fixed it for me but they used one that had a lot more miles on it. The other things are 1. TPMS (sensor 2 is out) 2. Maintenance required light due to leak in EVAC system (toyota told me this wasn't a big deal but now I'm polluting the earth) 3. Airbag light due to broken clock spring. How hard will it be to sell it and what do you think I should ask for it. Things that I've done for it: 1. New tires(warranty) 2. New refurbished hybrid Battery (2 year warranty which can be transferred for another $50) 3. Inverter water pump replaced 4. Regular boring maintenance 5. Changing the spark plugs this weekend since they're overdue Im also getting an average of 47.3 MPG PS. If anyones around Broward County please let me know if there are any reputable mechanics around
Mickcline. I have 2 Prii and lived in Colorado Springs. Where are you moving to in Colorado? Unless your moving to Summit county. or Eagle or Vail and will be living at a ski resort town I would keep it. I would remove your OEM Cat and replace it with an Aftermarket one if you keep it and move it to Colorado. If you are moving to Denver and have the OEM one it WILL BE STOLEN unless you park inside.
I would keep it yes. Depends on where you will be living for storage. I lived in the Springs for 16 years....I'll DM you and can touch base.
