I was adjusting the volume on the sound system at a red light and the car shut off and the doors automatically locked. It was like I was in a bait car I was able to restart the car and continue on with no further incident Has this ever happened to any of you?
Sounds like a wonky 12V battery or connection or ground . And I would want to be finding that very quickly.
How recently was it installed and did you do it or have a dealership install it? If it was fairly recent, check the negative terminal connection to insure it is torqued correctly.
I installed it two months ago and I can check the negative terminal . I put in one of those mobile batteries so it sits a little high
On my ‘22 there is several things that need to be re-initialized when the battery is reinstalled, does your manual address that?
Sounds to me like buttons might have been mistakenly pushed on the "remote". Think "butt dialing" a phone.
Trust me, I have yet to hear of a Prius key fob that has (or had) that capability. I might be wrong, but I believe this is one of those “PriusChat” _ _ moments (begins with B and ends in S). I would seek out a dealership and see if they have any ideas. FWTW
