So recently I started to get some weird trouble code with my Prius c 2014 I have tried to disconnect the 12v battery but they didn't disappeared, so I have swapped the battery with a new one since it is 9 years old, but still getting same error, noting that I haven't deleted the code from the first place No check engine appears on the dashboard not ABS error sign I am using a Bluetooth OBD2 connection and using OBD2 scanner app from Google play The rest of the codes are related to defected TPMS sensor, popped up Airbags and telematics codes which I couldn't find any thing related to it ============1============== C1241 Raw code: 5241 ECU: ABS control unit #2 Status: Confirmed Toyota: IG Power Source Circuit (MR, Cel.) ============26============== U0142 Raw code: C142 ECU: Entry & start / Smart key Status: Confirmed OBDII: Data bus, body control module (BCM) B - no communication ============27============== B2287 Raw code: A287 ECU: Power source control Status: Confirmed ============28============== U0140 Raw code: C140 ECU: Power source control Status: Confirmed OBDII: Data bus, body control module (BCM) - no communication
I recommend a higher-end scanner...you might be seeing codes that are old and are due to the 12-volt battery dying. (It's a known issue with a bad 12-volt battery) Do your auto-parts stores have a scanner you can borrow or run a scan for you? You'll want to record all the codes, then erase them all and run the car for a bit and see which ones return.
I have noticed a high fuel consumption, although I have started to notice that my car is not responding to smart remote clicks and only after many clicks it works, and if you tried to close the windows when the car is turned off the light inside the car start to dim a little bit, not to mention also the sunroof doesn't response to button unless i press it many times, (and after it respond everything works perfectly then), i have tried to check 12v voltage before i changed it was dropping to 13.1 - 14 voltage while using the car and if i tested it after a long stoppage or pause time it drops to 11.7 voltage, so i changed it, before i did that i have noticed these codes also, i made it clear that i need to change the 12v battery, but after changing it the codes still exist, but there is no check engine nor any maintenance light showing up on the dashboard except for the airbags and TPMS
Yes there was an accident, popped out steering and knees airbag but that is very very very old one i think it was on 2016
Below are the codes I am seeing, I have deleted them all if they return I will go to autoshop But what is wrong with smar key?
I doubt that cause in 2019 there was a water inside fuel tank and the oxygen sensor and the check engine light came out, I have checked it using a high end obd2 from an Autocar shop, it weren't there
