Hi all, I had to replace my driver side actuator a short bit ago, however the first time I pulled out the interior door frame to access it I accidentally didn't disconnect the bottom light out first. So it forcefully disconnected and the wire is exposed. I successfully replaced the actuator but all my interior lights and cig lighter/charge ports do not work anymore; this includes the interior lights not turning on when they detect my key, as it normally does. I checked all the interior fuses and they are intact. Any advice or help would be much appreciated!
If memory serves me correctly, interior lights are not even in the same fuse box as cig/power. I think interior lights are in the engine fuse box, so check there. I think interior lights are on the same fuse as the door lights so blowing that fuse makes sense. Perhaps the cig/power is an unrelated problem.
Thanks for that edit to your post. Then just change the fuse for the interior lights -- which is in the engine compartment -- and Bob's Your Uncle.
Well, because there are so many actuators for so many things all over the car, it would have been more specific to say door lock thingie. But then there aren't so many actuators inside doors, so when the OP said driver's side and pulled out the interior door trim, that kind of narrowed it down. (I went to my first movie since lockdown, last month, and noticed the theater seats had bass shakers. Maybe those were added since my last movie, or at least I never noticed them before. Looking them up, I see that some of the fancy ones prefer to be called "linear actuators".)
