Dear All, I'm owning a Prius Plug-in 2012, there are around 120 000 miles on it. A few days ago after the car washes the engine light pop-up with the code P1420. I tried to change the gas cap seal and reset the code, but a few days after the engine light pop-up again with the code P1422. Is there anyone experienced these?
Good luck. It sounds like the codes I was getting on my 12' PIP when I got it. Had my mechanic try to patch/fix the evap canister, hoses in the area, used canister, etc. End result was wasting a lot of time and money before finally succumbing to buying a new canister for like $600 I think and having it installed. On mine it seemed the problem is just one little valve. But that valve is integrated into the canister along with another valve/solenoid, etc. So there's no cheap/simple way out of it. Hopefully you'll find yours is something else, less problematic!
