I currently have software version 3.2.0 on a 2014 Prius V five. The bluetooth worked fine until I upgraded my android phone a couple years ago. From that point on there was constant skipping/stuttering of bluetooth audio. I tried various changes on the phone (which works fine with every other bluetooth device). I tried to just use an aux jack, but there's static. I got a filter but the cord is 3 ft long so the whole thing is a mess and I want to try to make bluetooth work. Toyota's website says there are no updates for my model but I've seen people here talking about much later versions. Where can I find out what the latest possible version I can use for my model is? Also, where can I find the firmware file?
I think I'll just try to replace the whole radio with one of these ones off ebay, I don't think links are allowed here but something like: "For 2012-16 Toyota Prius V Plus Alpha Android 11 Carplay Car Stereo Radio 2+32GB" Does anyone here have any experience with these?
