Need a recommendation for a good independent Prius service shop in the Hartford, CT area. Looking for a reliable shop to get an oil and filter changed using genuine Toyota filter and the proper synthetic oil.
Remember that Rolling Stones song? The shop doesn’t “need” to be Prius specialist; an oil change is no big deal. The simplest way to get the Toyota filter might be to supply it. And the drain bolt washer.
There’s a local dealership there, isn’t there? Why not use them? Especially if you’re still within the 24 month/25k service period. EDIT: My local dealership prices for the oil, filter and gasket is cheaper than Walmart and using them minimizes the chance of fake parts.
