It was lost in a previous server crash, but there was a thread detailing rebuilding the sensor. Early models leaked and corroded tghe contacts inside. Removal, cleaning, and resealing solved the problenm at no cost. So if all else fails and the dealer won't play ball, try this; at worst you;'ll be buying a new sensor anyway.
You mention removing, rebuilding, resealing. How is done? Where is the sensor locations exactly and does the car have to be completed de-energized? Who resets the error code or will the car "reset" itself? Help would be greatly appreciated. I have experience in computer repair, so don't think this will be too hard following your direction.
