I've tried to find some before. Last night I was able to find some people talking about them for Gen2s. Just wondering about real world experience with the batteries. (On mobile at work right now)
There's lots of them... I like the idea but wish there was more transparency on how they manage charging. Realize this is a Prius forum and the lithium packs have only been around a couple of years. Lead acid cells would last that long, so be thoughtful when you read early reviews, some from people with financial interests or beta testers. The technology used to make lithium cells charge safely with a Toyota system designed for NiMH is largely a secret but early reports were always "no problems". Yet now there is a new circuit to solve problems.
On one of jacks video, he said to keep the battery at 50% much as possible after calculating the life span of one of his used packs. I rather have a nimh battery and drive worry free.
Who is "Jack"? Also is the V2 new? I don't remember if the title said that before for the batteries and wonder what changed.
