Is there an Android app that will give your current gallons per hour and track over time? Wondering has anybody tested efficient hybrids for gallons per hour efficiency running climate control controlling for variables like outside temp, humidity, direct sunlight or shade, wind speed. inside temp setting, fan speed, battery capacity. Also testing for how often the ICE kicks in and for how long would be nice to track on the app. I'm guessing a new Prius Prime would be the record holder but don't know for sure. Original owner of 2004 Prius. Just one experience in the Summer 2010 in a parking lot with good wind flow under a thick Live Oak shade tree in coastal southeast 99% humidity 103 degrees F, inside temp set at 75 fan speed 2 AC ran appx 1.5 hours before ICE kicked in. Original battery.
Do you know how I can get gallons per hour on the pro torque app? Is it a plugin? I'm using the BT dongle recommended by Dr Prius. It's connecting fine and works with Hybrid assistant as well. Thanks.
You might take a look at this thread, though it is more about heating weather than cooling weather. It does not control for as many variables as you would like, but it's a start. on hunkering, Gen 3 style | PriusChat
