so im not sure if I should mention this but all of this happened 2 days after i got my car play stereo installed with a backup camera. So yesterday while i was messing with the equalizer settings the car started blinking ( both screens) and I freaked out and turned it off. After a minute I turned the car back on it blinked and glitched out so I shut it off. After a hour or so I turned the car on ready mode and it went back to normal. After driving for a few minutes ( went to go pick up my girlfriend ) the car made a lil bump noise and the car symbol thing came up on the top screen along with red triangle, !, and vsc. I parked restarted and it was fine for the drive there and back but the lights did not go away. I also noticed that my light wheel thingie ( that makes the car dash lights low and high stopped working. When I got into my driveway my grandma told me my left break light was out but after inspecting it was not. Thats when I decided I was going to use my dads fancy scanner gun to figure out what was wrong ( he is a mechanic).
The scanner gun came up with a few codes
    P0852
    P0A93
and C2318 ( low voltage error power supply fault )
I cleared the codes and then i went to mc Donalds and they came back after a few minutes driving. I decided that i was going to go change out the battery because i read somewhere that the 12v may have starting failing. When i got to the shop they did not have any in stock so I went to go start my car and noticed now that all the lights are up ( including abs ) and this loud beeping noise that wont stop. So I park the car nearby at a grocery store and restart it and it would not ready anymore. I jump started the car and it started working with all warning lights gone. I drove for another 6 minutes trying to make it home fast when my car starting beeping and all lights went up. My car steering wheel locked up and the breaks stopped working momentarily and i almost crashed. This followed with the 12v battery shutting off. had to use the ebreak. After another jump start it went back to normal with a triangle and a check engine light. Made it home and haven’t touched the car since ( does not turn on without jumpstart ) Im sure if the 12v battery dying is related to the p0a93 code. What should i do now? Replace the water pump first or test the car out with the new 12v battery? I dont want to mess up the new 12v battery.

    Welcome to PriusChat!!
Yes, related. Charge the 12v battery at 4A or less. Purchase and install an OEM inverter coolant pump, then check for obd2 codes again.

How old is the current 12v battery?

On mine, all this turmoil starting because of the 12v battery, messing everything up, sensors getting confused, making the car stop as you described. A mechanic tested the 12v battery and it’s was really bad. (You can test using your car: turn it on (2x) w/o step on break. After the logo disappears on the screen, hold the the display or info button and turn the headlight 3x and release the button. Tap MENU then DISPLAY CHECK then VEHICLE SIGNAL CHECK. Turn the car on for different info about the battery.)

After changing it and running for a while, bang: red triangle of death again! This time it was very specific: P0A93 (Inverter Cooling System Performance). So, to make sure I checked the coolant movement in the reservoir (with the car on) and all quiet, nothing moving. Now my next step will be changing the Inverter Coolant Pump hoping to end this quest until the next one .

    Peace out
